More of a wish than an idea. I'd like to see a dedicated 55+ pool with free water aerobics, swim lanes & handicap access for srs only.

I recently visited Pickerington’s skate park. It was small but well maintained, fenced, and the structures didn’t look too expensive. They weren’t concrete - but pre-fab metal structures. The park also had a parkour course for smaller kids. I see my kids and other teens skateboarding more and more. Myself and other adults I know enjoy skateboarding as well. It would be wonderful to have a small, inexpensive, but well maintained park and sister parkour course nearby for younger kids.

Eunicegv11 months agoInclusion Programs for Children, Youth, Adults with Developmental Disabilities
Hilliard is in need of : Create, re-establish and/or enhance existing programs that are inclusive of children and adolescents with I/DD by applying evidence-based, best or emerging practices • Support development of friendships between children and adolescents through integrated and inclusive programs and activities • Hire and train staff to ensure the provision of adequate support for children and adolescents with complex needs (i.e., physical, and behavioral) • Support communities with cultural awareness and sensitivity by enhancing language access and cultural competence within social and recreational programs and activities • Develop and vendor inclusive social and recreational programs that apply person-centered and family- centered practices. Various: Dublin has miracle League and other programs: there’s TopSoccer at other communities, Adaptive Sports bike riding programs in Delaware, etc… Hilliard needs one desperately. There’s a lack of inclusion programs and educational programs being offered in Hilliard for families with members with disabilities.
